"Agios Therapon" Elderly Home
Agios Therapon Elderly Persons’ Services was established in 1992. The Agios Therapon foundation serves the vulnerable third age social group based on the needs of the community and the surrounding region. The foundation offers room and treatment to third age people who require special help, this way contributing in preventing these people from being socially excluded and offering relief to their families.
The Home’s primary objectives are to keep the people it serves safe, to ensure that they receive humane treatment, to prevent them from feeling lonely and also to make sure that they receive proper medical treatment and a healthy nutrition. The foundation offers round the clock care.
The Agios Therapon Elderly Persons’ Home organises a frequent church-going for the people staying in the foundation, while a Christmas Event and an event dedicated to the Culture of Cyprus, during which traditional Cypriot dances are performed by the Folkloric Club of Lythrodontas, are also held at the foundation grounds.

The Day Care Centre’s objective is to mentally strengthen patients suffering from dementia through treatment programmes aiming at improving the quality of life for both the patients and those who take care of them, as well as to support their families. The Day Care Centre covers the needs of patients in the southern and south-western suburbs of the Nicosia District.
The vision here at the Adult Day Care Centre is to operate on a daily basis, to increase our associates by cooperating with doctors and health professionals specialised in other areas, to expand and offer services to people from the western suburbs of the Nicosia District and to evolve into a Dementia Counselling Centre.
The Adult Day Care Centre offers treatment programmes, evaluation and therapy at both a personal and group level by cooperating with various health professionals in areas such as occupational therapy, physiotherapy, community nursing work, while assistants also offer help to those who need it. Moreover, the centre offers lunch, free transport and personal care services. It is open every Monday and Wednesday, from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m.
